Using Applications for Clearance

Macbooks are a bit different from Windows in quite a few aspects. One of those is how you can use applications to solve the problem of improving the overall performance and making more space on your drive.

Manual deleting will not solve the problem and if you want to uninstall apps on mac os x or any other version, so you will want to get something like CleanMyMac. Caches, backlog files, and all that jazz will simply disappear once you run the software. And if you keep it up on a regular basis, there should never be any problems with the performance of your new computer.

Changing Folder Icons

Some individuals like to put most of their stuff on the desktop and separate it into different folders. Finding something by looking at the name of a folder should not be an issue, but given how much easier it is to remember visual than textual information, custom icons for each folder should be something worth considering.

The best part about it is that you can use custom images from the internet rather than something only available on the computer. Customize to your heart’s content.

Forgot Login Password? Not a Problem

Having your password memorized or written somewhere should be a no-brainer, yet some still manage to forget or lose it. Nevertheless, when it comes to Macbook owners, the issue is not as big as it may seem.

There are two ways to recover your password. The first one would be using your Apple ID. After a few failed attempts you will be asked whether you would like to recover the password via Apple ID. The process is identical to recovering account information on every other instance. Enter the necessary information and you will receive a password in your email.

The second method is the recovery mode. Shut down the Macbook, hold down command + R and click the power button. A progress bar should appear below. You are now in the recovery mode.

Click “Utilities” and “Terminal”. Enter “resetpassword” without any spaces or quotes and click Return. After you close the terminal window, you will see the tool for resetting the password. From here, everything should be self-explanatory.

Spotlight

There is this great application yet despite its features, most users still tend to overlook it. Spotlight is perfect for everyone who has to do work with numbers and conversions. When you start using your Macbook, do not neglect Spotlight.

Digital Signatures

When you receive a PDF document that requires a signature, you usually have to print it, sign, then scan it and send it to another party. When you count every step, the amount of time it takes to finish the work really accumulates. And when you have multiple different documents to sign in a single day, it becomes clear how much of a problem it is.

Save yourself from the situation by having a digital signature ready on the go. Once you start to utilize it, you will not want to go back to signing everything with your hand.

Emojis

You can type emojis on more than just a smartphone or tablet. Most apps will have the “Edit” option and you can select emojis from there. As an alternative, hit control + command + space and you will have access to the emoji box thanks to this shortcut.
