Before viewing all the codes for iOS devices, please note that most of them are operator specific. Most importantly, they do not work worldwide due to restrictions or unwillingness of the operator to adopt these codes. So don’t be surprised if some of these cool codes don’t work for you. Let’s start with this little disclaimer.

1. Field test mode

Code:*3001#12345#*

This secret code on the phone activates the field test mode, which gives you many technical details about your network. That’s not all, as you can also use this passcode on your iPhone to get a more accurate picture of your network signal strength. Bars are a great way to see the signal strength. However, if you want to know the exact intensity, you can use this code to display the signal strength in decibels. This is how you do it:

On iOS 10 or earlier

If you enter the code into your iPhone dialer and press the call button, you will be directed to the Field Test page, where you will find various network details. Then press the power button unless you get the “slide to turn off” option.

Once you’re on the shutdown screen, hold down the home button, and the bars will be replaced by the strength of the network in decibels.

When you have finished, wait for 20 to 30 seconds for the network to stabilize. Then you can write down your signal strength if the number is more significant than -80 (-70, -60), the signal strength is almost full, and if it is less than -110 (-120,130).

The network has a relatively weak signal. It is important to note that the signal strength varies depending on whether you are connected to a 3G or 4G network.

To disable decibels and revert to the usual network bars on your iPhone, you can reopen the field test page with the passcode and tap the top left margin that says “Phone” or just tap the start button.

In iOS 11, 12 and 13

With the invention of iOS 11, Apple slightly changed the functionality of “field test mode.” For a change, the dBm (decibel milliwatt) digital signal display is no longer displayed in the iPhone status bar.

But don’t worry, there is still a way to check the actual cellular signal as numbers on the iPhone using the field test mode in iOS 13, iOS 12, and iOS 11. First, make sure your iPhone has an active cellular connection. You can access and use the field test mode to measure the signal strength. Just open the phone app, enter the following number, and dial it.

Now the test mode for hidden fields will open on your iPhone. Press LTE and then select “Serving Cell Meas.” Then you will find the rsrp0 and the corresponding number, which will be the digital measure of the iPhone’s cellular signal strength in dBm. For those unfamiliar with it, RSRP (Reference Received Signal Power) is considered a variation of the RSSI measurement. The RSRQ is short for Reference Received Signal Quality. While rsrp0 is the provisional cell tower, rsrp1 is the closest cell tower.

  1. Unrelated to secret codes::::

I want to get the word out.
verizon put a bookmark in my safari browser, and it can’t be deleted.
Also when I checked icloud the safari is on, when I have icloud OFF.
I don’t use icloud whatsoever at all.
When the bookmark pops up, that’s when I check icloud settings and sure enough it’s also on for safari.
The point is I have deleted the verizon bookmark a dozen times a day and also turned off safari in icloud a dozen times a day , and it keeps returning.
