Want a currency converter? Google it. Need to know about a certain topic in detail? You got it. Want some help regarding your academic assignments? You will get everything you need. So basically, it has become a savior and also a walking library of information in this digital generation.

It has saved time for people to physically go and collect information regarding surveys, their favorite destinations, and every other thing by being available on just a tap.

2. Gmail

While Gmail might not be the mail service we used for our first email id, it was the last. Reason? It syncs easily and can be connected to any of your other accounts on social media. Whenever you try to sign up somewhere new, you’ll always see an option to link your account with Gmail.

Other than that, it properly classifies mail according to its importance as deemed by google. With various features such as primary, updates, social and promotional, all your emails go to the right folder so you don’t have to spend hours sorting it out. Also, all spam emails go directly to the spam folder, so again you don’t have to spend time deleting things off your id.

3. YouTube

This is easily the first site we all streamed videos on. It was popular a decade ago and it still tops the list among video streaming sites. The reason being you can find tutorials, educational videos, information about various things easily here.

You can subscribe to the channels that you would like to follow so that you don’t miss updates when they come up with something new.

It has made the task of studying from home easily and many people have learned quite a few things from here. Not only that, if you are good at something, you can start your own YouTube channel and earn if you get enough subscribers.

4. Google maps

This is a blessing when you are on your own in a big, new city wondering where to go. It is mostly accurate and helps you in easily finding your way to your destination. Be it a petrol pump, ATM, restaurant or your new office location, you can find the directions to it in here. Also, if you are unsure about where to go, you can search that place on this map and look at the reviews left by other people. That helps in decision making to quite an extent.

5. Google drive

We really can’t keep all our important files with us all the time. Google drive has been of great help with that. It has made file storing on the internet quite easy so that your phone memory remains empty while you can keep all your important docs, pictures, movies everything stored in here and can access it anywhere.

Apart from this, it backs up everything you had once stored in your phone if you want it to. So, in case you delete an important file, you can recover it.

6. Google contacts

We always keep changing our phones. While getting a new phone is fun, updating contacts is not so much. That is where google contacts help. It syncs all your contact with your email and saves it.

So, when you link your new phone to Gmail, all of your contacts will appear without much work. While sometimes it might have duplicate contacts, but that is not a big issue since it keeps contacts for as long as you want.

7. Google Assistant & home

This has made it very easy to look or things without typing it out. You can simply open google assistant and speak what you want and it will present you with that. When you are too tired to type but what to have something done like message someone or call someone, or set reminders or just want to listen to few good jokes, you can ask the assistant for it.

This is quite a great use for old people who are quite not accustomed to typing on smartphones as speaking does their work.

8. Google translate

This world is quite diverse with several languages existing here. So, when you need help with translation to understand a certain language, google translate is there to help you out. It has made it pretty easy for people to even learn the basics of a few languages. Also, its voice command helps in good pronunciation too.
