The New iPhone 14 Pro
Apple perfected the smartphone formula with the iPhone 14 Pro, offering a duality: one that is both new and something extremely similar to its predecessor. With a lot of camera upgrades, it offers the Dynamic Island, replacing the infamous notch that appeared five years ago on the iPhone X.

Apple was the first company to incorporate a “cutout” in their software; this is something that other smartphone brands have tried to do, too. The pill-shaped cutout on the screen, by itself, is not a new idea; Huawei and Vivo phones have implemented it before.
However, Apple decided to design an interface around the cutout so that it appears like it can grow in size. This physical characteristic goes against what Android companies are doing with their software apps—they have tried to minimize the size of their screen’s “cutout”. Nonetheless, Apple is embracing it and wants users to focus on and react to it.
